POP SHOP TOUR: SEATTLE
We arrived in Seattle in full force late last month, ready to peruse the city’s best thrift and vintage shops for inspiration and ideas. First stop: Orange Crush, an endless warehouse full of vintage diamonds in the rough. Stack Aly and Ouigi, alongside the Ebbets Field Flannels team and some fantastic friends, sifted through piles upon piles of shoes, shirts, skateboards, magazines, and more to curate a 1950’s time capsule for our Pop Shop at Ebbets Field Flannels. Aly came across a pristine pair of vintage PF Flyers within five minutes of arriving at Orange Crush – surely a sign that this trip to the West was destined.
Picking through so many amazing accessories was a whirlwind, so we broke for lunch at a great burger joint just south of Seattle – we were lucky to have the completely cool Lisa Cooper of Ebbets Field Flannels as our guide to the top notch spots in the area. After lunch it was back to more thrift shops and secondhand stores around the city, until we were finally ready to head over to Ebbets Field with our haul to set up for the next day’s Pop Shop.
The PF Pop Shop tour made its way to Seattle to preview our exciting collaboration with Ebbets Field Flannels, and also to help celebrate their 25th anniversary and beautiful new space. We had a blast blowing off steam with the Ebbets team, Bill Bennett, Stack Aly, and Ouigi of the Brooklyn Circus. Other notable local attendees included Garrett and Justin from Nordstrom, photographer Ellie Arciaga, Andrea of The Sneakery, Nin Truong of Maiden Noir and Brian Burt of Lefty’s Barber Shop. Tunes by DJ Rosemary Otero and beer provided by Pabst Blue Ribbon ensured no shortage of a good time. Thank you to all who came out to celebrate with us!
